The Severed Testament
 
The relic is known as The Severed Testament — a skull crowned not with flesh but with its own spine, torn root and dripping vein. The Codex writes that such remnants are not accidents of battle, but signatures. Where others kill, the Spine-Keeper collects.
 
Those who find such relics whisper that the marrow is drained, not by blade nor fire, but by a hunger that knows bone from within. In the dark, the skull seems to breathe still, as though the marrow remembers what the body forgot.
 
The Codex offers no mercy in its notes:"The Keeper tallies not the living but the bones. Each fracture is scripture, each spine a psalm. When enough skulls sing, the marrow will walk again."
 
None speak of the Keeper aloud. The silence is heavier than speculation, as if even the act of naming would draw marrow from their own bones.
